GIPF is a strategic game for two players based on a classic idea: In turn, players introduce a piece into the game until they achieve four in a row. Then, players remove their row and capture any of their opponent's pieces that extend the row. This principle of capturing pieces creates completely altered situations on the board. The goal is to form consecutive rows of at least four pieces, until the opponent has no more pieces to bring into the game. GIPF is not only the name of a game, but also a project. This project involves a group of games and additional pieces that will follow step by step. Each game in the project can be played either separately or with additional pieces in combination with GIPF. It is a system that makes winning or losing games related to the strategic factor of GIPF itself.
