Description

Black Beech Cane with Horn Handle

Black beech cane, made from solid one-piece beech wood with a horn handle made of cellulose. The wooden part is from kiln-dried Macedonian beech while the handles are made of cellulose.

  • Maximum user weight 100Kg.
  • Color: Black
  • Made in Greece.

Useful Information

You may find it helpful to use a cane if you have a minor balance or stability issue, some weakness in your leg or trunk, if you are recovering from an injury, or experiencing some pain. If you are elderly, a single-point cane may help you to continue living independently.

Instructions for Use

  • The top of your cane should reach your wrist when you are standing up straight. Your elbow should be slightly bent when holding the cane. Hold the cane with the hand on the opposite side of the one needing support.
  • When walking, your cane and injured leg should swing and touch the ground at the same time. To start, place your cane slightly forward from your leg and step with your injured leg. Complete the step with your 'good' leg.
  • To go up the stairs, grasp the handrail (if possible) and rely on your good leg first, with your cane in the hand opposite to the injured leg. Then, bring up the injured leg. To descend the stairs, place your cane on the step first, followed by your injured leg, and lastly your 'good' leg, which bears your body weight.
  • Remove rugs, electrical cords, avoid wet floors, and anything else that may cause you to fall.
