Upgrade from Ryzen 5 3500X Zen 2, I wanted something from Zen 3 due to technology limitations in Socket & Mobo Chipset. It is cooler than the 3600X even though it has 6 more virtual cores. It is a mid-range processor for gaming and economical. Idle temperatures with liquid cooling - Cougar Vistek 360 - ARGB 37C ~ with 47C and in casual gaming 51C ~ 63C. Do not go for a cheap cooling solution, either for CPU or Case.

I have had the CPU together with the RX 7600 for 3-4 days now and for its price I think it is very good. In Fortnite with performance mode in creative it reaches about 500 fps and in battle royale about 200 fps with 165. In GTA Enhanced very high settings it reaches about 120 to 130 fps. I haven't played too many games so far but with the games I have played I am very satisfied.

Significant difference from the 3600X. I open and close the browser with 30-50 windows and it doesn't lag, it's amazing. For me, in 2025 if you have this processor, you don't need to spend for something better. For a substantial upgrade, it's preferable to go to a new platform/socket like AM5 and specifically to the Ryzen 9600X

It was a very good processor a few years ago, but now it's not really worth it because the AM5 platform has become quite cheap, and also for the same price you can get a Ryzen 7 5700. Other than that, it's solid.

One star because, my friends, it never worked with BIOS upgrade on Gigabyte and MSI motherboard socket AM4. First of all, for this one to boot, you need a separate graphics card, you need to update the BIOS of each motherboard, and from what I saw on the official sites of the companies, they have more than 7 to 10 BIOS updates, which for me is a problem and means many problems now and many problems in the future. And so, I will never go to AMD. Only Intel, all that I have built have worked right away, and you don't have to search for drivers here and there to get it started. Thank you very much, kisses to the parrots. My experience tells me to stay away.

Great value for under 100 euros, especially if you already have an AM4 motherboard and DDR4 memory. If you're looking to revive an old first or second generation Ryzen configuration and you're not willing to give double the money for Ryzen 7 5700X3D, this one should do the job nicely. Old, but still good. Strangely, even some software problems I had on the system miraculously disappeared when I switched from 1600 to this one.

Whatever I say about the processor is little, I did tests on a similar system with 3800x and in games it outperformed it, in multitasking I didn't see a big difference from the 8 core, we also compared it with ryzen 7600 in a friend's system with the same graphics card, and the differences were around 5 fps+... finally, if you can, put a good cooler.

Epic! I have no words. Upgraded from R5 1600 so I expected to see improvement, but not this much! It runs everything I throw at it smoothly. I paired it with:
ASUS TUF B550M PLUS (without wifi),
    Gigabyte EAGLE GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6,
    GSkill Ripjaws V 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHZ
    Samsung M2 970 Evo Plus 1TB
The only downside, as everyone says, is the stock cooler, unrelated to the processor but it’s true. You definitely need a different one, like the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO that I got.

very good processor and just with a b550 curved optimizer -30 did all the work without much fuss. low consumption and temperatures with be quiet pure quiet slim ($25) did not exceed 70 degrees even in summer. obviously in 3d cpu it is not comparable. but for the price of 100 euros it is one of the best

The processor, although it is from 2020, is wonderful. I recently got it, and with the stock cooler, it reaches 60 degrees when playing games at 40-50 watts, although in Cinebench R23 it reached 72 degrees, but I didn't test it for long (it was also running at 77.5 watts at that time). The 6 cores allow it to run games comfortably along with other applications like OBS Studio, Discord, Opera GX, etc. As for games, it can run everything comfortably (depending on the graphics card), and if you have a good card, it can run under 20% easily; with the RX 580 that I have, it reaches 30 to 40% max. I also paired it with the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2 without needing a BIOS update, and I believe it is a very good duo. For video editing, I am not an expert in this, but I think that for 1080p it is perfectly fine without excessive use, and for its price, it is worth a lot!

The processor is very good for the money, especially for the cost it had when I made the purchase. However, the stock cooler it comes with is terrible; an aftermarket cooler was a must. No, it DOES NOT need liquid cooling, as I read here and there when I was looking for information to find a solution for its high temperature. A good aftermarket cooler costing 35-45 euros will do the job.

Very good processor for work and gaming. In Photoshop and the heavier games, it works flawlessly. The main downside of the processor is its temperatures, and the best thing one can do is get another cooler because the stock one is not sufficient. I preferred the Arctic Duo 34 Esports.

Flawless vfm processor even for 2024. It runs smoothly for my needs, which reach up to 50 open windows with 2 games running simultaneously at 144fps, League of Legends and WoW classic. Power supply Gigabyte G750H 80 plus gold 750W. It is connected to ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 with the latest (stable) bios update, memory 2x8GB G.Skill Teident Z 3.6GHz DDR4 with XMP 2.0 and RTX2060 Super. I would recommend an aftermarket cooler like the Arctic Freezer Esports Duo 34. Finally, I believe it is not worth it to go for the 5700X3D because the price/performance ratio is disproportionate, unless a miracle happens and someone finds a 5800X3D, it's more likely to win the lottery. And also the performance difference with the plain 5600 is 2-3%, you won't notice a difference so just get the cheaper one.

Excellent performance in a build with Asrock Fatality B450. With a simple BIOS update, it worked flawlessly. The only downside is the cooler, which is inferior even to the older Wraith of the 2700. With a better cooler and some thermal paste, you will have satisfactory temperatures.

Very good processor that is worth its money by far. It runs almost everything without any problem. The only complaint is that the CPU raises the temperature a lot, up to 90. Of course, I am using the AMD cooler, and that might be the reason. Anyone who has a different opinion can correct me.

The product was sent used in a cardboard box and without any protection. Fortunately, it is functional and so far has not shown any problems.

For 2025, it is exactly a 5-year-old processor; it should cost at least 70 euros, and not just this one, but generally all processors of its generation and before

Very economical solution while also offering good performance in 1440p gaming as well as in everyday applications of the home PC. The transition from Ryzen 2600 to 5600x makes a noticeable difference.

The dog will play all the games fearlessly without any complaints. For a 1080p gaming PC, it's a beast. Personally, I had no complaints even at 1440, it covered me, but always with the appropriate GPU

  • Upgrade from Ryzen 5 3500X Zen 2, I wanted something from Zen 3 due to technology limitations in Socket & Mobo Chipset.
