We call a nation the conscious tribe. It is a spiritual phenomenon, developing and evolving within and through the biological reality of the tribe. The nation, according to the worldview of nationalism, has as its sole foundation the tribe, and upon this foundation necessarily rest the superstructures of language, religion, customs, history, etc.

For nationalism, the nation is temporally unlimited and geographically unbound.
