Man is not an island. You need to remember this. It is one of the fundamental truths of life. I emphasize this because we tend to forget it. We are all part of the same vital energy, the same oceanic existence.

And precisely because deep in our roots we are one, the possibility of love exists. If we were not one, then there would be no possibility of love.

You may like a house, but you cannot love it. You may like anything, but the word love is not appropriate to use for something you merely like. Love is meant only for those who are on the same level of evolution.

The second thing one needs to remember is that evolution operates through polarity. Just as you cannot walk on one foot alone - you need two feet to walk - existence also requires polar opposition - male and female, life and death, love and hate - to create momentum. Otherwise, there would be only silence.
