Description

Description

MEDITATION cannot be something fragmentary. It must be a continuous effort. At every moment, one must remain alert, conscious, and meditative.

However, the mind has played a trick: You meditate in the morning and then set meditation aside. You return to the world completely non-meditative, unconscious, as if sleepwalking. This fragmentary effort, however, does not help much. How can you be meditative for one hour when you are non-meditative for twenty-three hours a day? This is unrealistic.

Suddenly becoming meditative for one hour is not possible. You are merely deceiving yourself. Consciousness is a continuum. It is like a river that flows continuously. If you are meditative, you must be meditative the whole day, every moment of it. Only when you are meditative throughout the entire day will you experience blooming.
