    It is a product that, for its price, you could call satisfactory. But as someone else who bought it mentioned, its main drawback is the volume, which I would say is at maximum, of the voice messages it plays during power on/off (welcome to aiwa bye-bye and maximum volume). This makes it prohibitive to connect directly via HDMI because it turns on automatically when the TV is turned on. Only with a Bluetooth connection can you have control. In any case, for nighttime use when someone is sleeping, it is prohibitive.

    It is definitely one of the worst products I have ever bought... and this for 3 reasons:
    1. I made the mistake of not doing market research BEFORE I bought it, so I would have learned that Aiwa has nothing to do with the Japanese company we knew in the 80s-90s... Sony has withdrawn it as a subsidiary since 2006... now they are just "brand licensing" products... they have distributed the rights to the name and are simply made in Chinese factories.
    2. Because the sound is not good... very muffled with no clarity at all... it's worse than TV speakers (of a good TV, e.g. TCL C7K and above).
    3. And the most important! When it turns on or off (together with the TV) or when you lower it completely, etc., a female voice (voice prompt) speaks to you and tells you what you are doing, e.g. WELCOME TO AIWA, etc... the problem is that it says it at FULL VOLUME... and you can't disable it!!!! So, for example, since I have it in the bedroom, in the middle of the night it startles me and wakes up the family, not to mention the neighbors.
