The board game Extra! Extra! is a business and social game in which 2–6 players compete to fill the front and back pages of a newspaper with stories of different sizes. Players assign reporters to the stories they want to publish, while their opponents can bid for them. They collect stories about home, world affairs, business, politics, sports, and leisure.
Major stories and stories in each player’s specialist area earn bonus points, as do extra copy, interviews, and headlines. Players can also obtain text and photo clippings from the “morgue,” hire additional reporters, and sell stories to raise money. The first player to complete both newspaper pages earns a bonus, but victory also depends on circulation points.
