Trap for tomato borer (tuta absoluta) that operates with solar light, charges a rechargeable battery, and automatically lights up as soon as the sunlight decreases, for 4 – 6 hours depending on the charge.

During the day, the photovoltaic plate must be in direct contact with the sun's rays. The LEDs illuminate the blue plate, which has a diameter of 24 centimeters.

We fill the plate with soapy water made with one liter of water and a minimal amount of dish detergent, or we add a bit of oil on top of the water. Insects are attracted, fall into the water, and are exterminated.

Recommended height for placing the trap: 50 centimeters above the ground.
