The award-winning flatwound bass strings "Monel" since its inception.
The RS77 Jazz Bass set has found favor with many of the world's top artists, such as Oasis, Steve Harris, Roger Waters, and Herbie Flowers.
The manufacturing specification remains a secret, but the Monel 400 tape used in the strings brings out the true character of these strings compared to the competition who are happy to use the much less expensive stainless steel.
These strings are still made the "old-fashioned way" by hand on machines built by James How in the late 1960s.
