Replaced the Intel 3165 in a 2018 Lenovo Y520 7700HQ because the 3165 couldn’t “see” Cosmote’s speedport+2, which was now broadcasting ax with band steering. The same thing happened with the ZTE MC888 5G using a Vodafone SIM. It could only see some older Wi-Fi 4 and 5 networks. I downloaded the driver first, then opened the cover, unplugged the two antennas from the chip located beneath the fans, unscrewed the old card, and installed the AX200. On startup, it immediately detected both routers, and you also upgrade the Bluetooth to 5.2. A major upgrade for the laptop for just €18

The WIFI chip qualcomm atheros qca61x4a showed a problem, while it was working on the 5ghz band it started to operate only on the 2.5ghz band, no matter uninstalling the driver or making changes in device management from 2.5ghz to 5ghz.
I changed the new chip, before changing it with the old one I uninstalled the device (the driver supported intel card so no deletion was needed) from device management, plugged in the new one, started windows 10 plug n play and it worked flawlessly right away.
I was concerned that the new one had fewer gold pins but in the M.2 AE key type it is the same and it works flawlessly.

Με ανησύχησε που το νέο είχε λίγότερα χρυσά pins άλλα στο τύπο Μ.2 ΑΕ τύπος κλειδιού έιναι ίδιο άλλα παίζει απροβλημάτιστα.
