The AE109² is designed to deliver effortless performance that fills the room from a sleek floor-standing speaker, just as the world-renowned AE109 did 20 years ago. To achieve this, two 130mm paper drivers are used in conjunction with a 25mm soft dome tweeter. The 2.5-way crossover features a unique topology that allows for integration and power handling that was previously unattainable for this type of speaker. Particular attention has been paid to phase and time alignment for the most coherent performance. Like the AE100² speaker, the drivers and crossover are housed in a substantial 15mm HDF cabinet that draws stylistic elements from the award-winning 500 series. The result is an audio product with clean and sleek lines that can deliver the impactful and powerful presentation that Acoustic Energy owners have come to expect. Available finishes include black and walnut vinyl.
