Type

Fisheye, Wide Angle

Type

Fisheye

Ultra-wide angle lenses with a shooting angle of approximately 180° and intense distortion, which is usually the desired effect. Their focal distance usually starts from 15-23mm for full frame, 8-15mm for crop frame, and 30-45mm for medium format.

Wide Angle

Wide-angle lenses with optics that allow for fitting many elements within the frame with relatively little distortion. Their focal distance is usually 24-35mm for full-frame, 15-25mm for crop frame, and 50-70mm for medium format. They are commonly used in street photography but also in indoor spaces where there is limited distance from the subject. The perspective of wide-angle lenses makes things appear farther apart than they actually are.

Lens Type

Fixed Focal Length

Lens Type

Lenses with variable optical (zoom) that remain equally bright (same maximum aperture value) throughout the entire focal distance range they offer. Usually significantly more expensive than their variable aperture counterparts.

Fixed Focal Length

Lenses with fixed optics are usually of higher quality than a corresponding zoom lens at the same focal distance. They are also called "fixed" or "prime" lenses.

Sensor Type

Crop Frame

Sensor Type

Crop Frame

Lenses designed for use on cameras with a crop frame sensor (smaller frame).

Maximum Aperture (f)

2.8

Maximum Aperture (f)

Opening the diaphragm determines the amount of light received by the camera and affects the depth of field.
2. The most open aperture of a lens is called the maximum. The more open the aperture (smaller f-number), the shallower the depth of field.

Minimum Aperture (f)

16

Minimum Aperture (f)

Opening the diaphragm determines the amount of light received by the camera and affects the depth of field.

2. The smallest diameter of the diaphragm is the minimum value. The more closed the diaphragm (larger f-number), the greater the depth of field.

Focal Length

7.5 mm

Focal Length

It is the distance that the light rays need to travel to reach the focal point, that is, the lens sensor.
The smaller the focal distance, the larger the angle of view for the photograph and therefore the lens can capture more of what is in front of us.

Mount

Sony E

Mount

The type of mount that the camera body must have in order for the lens to be fully functional when attached to it.

2. Some lenses can be used with older mounts from the same manufacturer, sacrificing certain functions (e.g. autofocus), or even with mounts from other manufacturers using an adapter.
