FPV Racing Redefined

FPV Racing (FPV: First Person View) is experiencing tremendous growth abroad and recently in our country as well. DJI's new consumer ready-to-fly FPV drone can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h and is extremely sensitive, agile, and fast. Thanks to DJI's optimized transmission system, operators can race with exceptional smoothness due to the ultra-low latency (28ms) while enjoying crystal-clear images. The company has improved its DJI FPV Transmission System and now offers 810p/120fps digital live view with a range of 10 km.

4K Video and 4x Slow Motion

The drone features a 2,000mAh battery that allows for 20-minute flights (at a constant speed of 40 km/h) and is equipped with a 12 MP camera with 150° FoV (for ultra-wide image/coverage) with RockSteady EIS technology and supports 4K/60fps video and 4x slow motion video. The drone also supports S Mode, emergency brake, and hovering.

See Everything in Real Time..

The new DJI FPV COMBO system allows you to pilot your drone thanks to a camera mounted on the drone. With the amazingly "fast" transmission system, the image reaches your goggles in "real time," resulting in excellent control while guiding the drone, especially when it is at a great distance and therefore out of sight. The image transmission occurs almost in real time (with a delay of only 28ms from the camera to the goggles) and with exceptional clarity and resolution.

… and in Incredible Resolution

The new DJI FPV Goggles V2 use the improved DJI FPV Transmission system, which supports 810p/120fps Image Transmission and low latency (28ms) to enjoy excellent image quality almost in real-time. It features four omnidirectional antennas that support left-hand circular polarization and enhance the signal and communication between the Air Unit, the RC, and the DJI FPV Goggles.

The Flight Experience Reaches New Heights

The new DJI FPV Air Unit elevates the flight experience with modern innovations and allows video recording in 4K resolution at 60fps for exceptionally clear images. The RockSteady EIS technology ensures the most "stable" result.

Top Control

The ergonomic and highly durable DJI FPV Remote Controller quickly connects to the DJI FPV Air Unit and DJI FPV Goggles to get your drone flying immediately. Its high-capacity battery further ensures the best possible flight experience and guarantees longer usage time. The built-in software allows operators to remotely set various parameters for the DJI FPV Goggles V2, DJI FPV Air Unit, and DJI FPV Camera, aiming to increase stabilization and reduce operational errors. With the controller, you can control your drone from a distance of up to 10 km.

Quite a good drone for cinematic shots in all modes, in N mode it can also fly indoors but I wouldn't recommend it for this job, S mode is okay for outdoor cinematic shots but it is greatly affected by crosswinds and it ruins the footage. In M mode it flies perfectly (even after a DIY repair with epoxy for two broken arms from crashes) but it should be kept away from objects as it has poor power/weight ratio and doesn't forgive mistakes. The arms break very easily, the camera is more resistant to impacts. Overall, the footage is quite satisfactory and there is no need for a Go Pro necessarily, but it doesn't perform particularly well for night shots. Flight time is around 8 minutes in M mode, 12 minutes in S mode, and 16 minutes in N mode.

In my opinion, it is not suitable for complete beginners/pilots of the Mavic, unless you plan to exclusively use N and S mode. BEGINNERS should spend at least 10 hours on a simulator before flying in Manual mode, otherwise you will need a new one the next day.

For experienced FPV pilots, it flies very nicely for cine and long range, and the failsafes are of the classic reliable DJI quality, but you will get bored of it if you're looking for something acro. To avoid having propellers in the final video, it requires a 30-degree camera angle, which is a bit inconvenient if you want to fly slower and more relaxed, but they don't take up much space and with a little cropping in editing, they disappear.

IN NO CASE IS IT SUITABLE FOR PROXIMITY FREESTYLE like carbon frames, unless you have a lot of money and time for repairs after each flight/fall, it will definitely break (for example, to change a motor, it requires a full teardown of the corresponding side, minimum 3 hours)

It fell into the sea @#$@#! There are two combinations on the controllers that shut down the drone in the air, and it says it in a "hidden unrelated point" in a 70-page manual. Great... you've paid DJI Care 200-325€ and then you go ask for a new drone with an extra +280€ for flyaway, and you discover that there was a hidden proposal in the terms stating that it doesn't cover this drone. Of course, it had the icon on the website. Well done, DJI...
For a complete analysis and details, watch the video "DJI FPV Combo(GR): Motor Shutdown in the Air and Confusing Care - How Not to Get Scammed": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpdmzdZbyqs
10/22/2022 edit: A diver found the drone. I sent it to DJI headquarters in Northern Europe, and I received a replacement. The cost of care and replacement came to a total of 500-600€.
I removed the emergency stop from the menu. I still had - and have - the fear, especially at the beginning.
OVERALL: It's not for beginners, not even for a second drone! Third or fourth, only if you feel it, you'll go for the Manual! It's a good drone if you want to fly without assembling, setting up motors, gyroscopes, etc. It's for gradually learning to fly FPV, from simple flights with the help of sensors (Normal), to high-speed sport mode flights at 100 km/h, and even doing flips in sport mode at a maximum of 140 km/h. It's also good for high-speed videography in sport mode (but without sensors), for example, 80 km/h. For speeds over 100 km/h, you'll need to activate Manual mode, which is quite difficult to understand and learn. It's only recommended for those who want to smoothly transition into FPV racing situations.
It's not a racing drone! Not for competitions! It's something in between for experienced users and special needs. Now, the Avata has also been released, which is lighter and has protected propellers.

Excellent drone, very good build quality, it has 3 modes Normal/Sport/Manual that make the flight amazing.... it is very stable, it has sensors underneath and in the front, the price is quite high but it is worth its money, it has incredible power and the flight usually lasts 10-17 minutes depending on the mode you choose.

Very good drone, I have had it for about 2 months and I have made several flights with it. Initially, we are talking about a very fast drone in N mode: 55km/h S mode: 100km/h, I haven't tried it in M mode yet. It feels nice, the only problem is the battery life and the camera. Its battery barely lasts 18 minutes, even with very smooth movements, mainly because the drone is quite heavy (800g). Also, the camera is mediocre for professional use and generally for picky people like me. Specifically, it shows nearby objects very well, but in the distance, it gets snowy. What I will do and recommend to those who will use it for videos on YouTube, etc., is to maybe attach a GoPro on top of it because otherwise it won't do the job. Overall, the drone is very good, it really is worth its money.

    I hope I helped!

  • It fell into the sea @#$@#!

  • Excellent drone, very good build quality, it has 3 modes Normal/Sport/Manual that make the flight amazing.... it is very stable, it has sensors underneath and in the front, the price is quite high but it is worth its money, it has incredible power and the flight usually lasts 10-17 minutes depending on the mode you choose.

  • Very good drone, I have had it for about 2 months and I have made several flights with it.
