It was bought to replace a children's microphone (set with CD player / children's portable stereo by Muse) that broke from being pulled, and I could not find a replacement microphone to replace it. It is infinitely better than the original.

The factory cable makes it easy for simple plug-and-play use, while with XLR–XLR it can be connected normally to a mixer or audio interface. Just be careful about one detail: XLR does not turn the microphone into stereo. The PBM100 is mono, and the XLR–XLR carries its mono signal as a balanced connection.
