I use it on 2 small CB 4-watt radios and it is 100% reliable/stable and the most economical in this category of small legal 4W radios... If you stay at 4W, you don't need to go for expensive power supplies. This one covers it comfortably...
I tried it on one CB, 2 simple small but relatively powerful power supplies of the category I had at 12/13V-3/4A respectively, they do the job, but both produce noise on the speaker (one slightly annoying because it is a bit high, the other with low intensity) especially in AM mode reception and out of the 6 reception/transmission units, one unit was permanently on, not to mention that over time they may have caused damage to these sensitive electronic devices...
This one is PERFECT, nothing but noise is heard, only the normal small hiss that all radios make and it only lights up when a station appears... Also, when the TX button is pressed for transmission, it does not lower the volts, which is very important in such devices (the other 2 would slightly lower the volts)... Neither does the IC regulator heat up, nor does the CB, which has a consumption of 2.70A, and mind you, I had them on for HOURS at the beginning...
It is a bit big and heavy for 13V/3A, but it has a fairly large transformer inside that takes up half of the space in the packaging.
Excellent, I would give it 5 stars, but it outputs 12.65V instead of the stated 13.80V

    Good for its price.
Gets very warm under a 3A load.
Under a 1.5A load, it makes a little noise but not at all annoying.
