The student book includes eight clearly structured units. Each covers approximately 4 teaching hours and offers:

• images from the lives of children in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
• exercises with a strong element of play, which help develop children's communicative language skills
• many songs, which automate the use of new language structures
• comics, which carefully and incrementally develop children's reading comprehension skills
• phonetics exercises, which support the acquisition of correct and clear pronunciation from the beginning
• mini projects, in which children are encouraged to process and present materials in groups with a clear linguistic focus
