How to make the perfect matcha tea using the Severin SM3585 milk frother:

I will use the numbers found in the manual to describe the different parts of the device.

    1) Place the toothed ring (5) under its cover (4) and then all together at the bottom of the stainless steel container (from the inside, not from the outside).
Then, place the stainless steel container in the base of the device, without the cover.
The cover (1), as well as the plain ring (3), will not be needed for this recipe.

    2) Pour 140ml of water into the stainless steel container. If filtered water is available, even better.

    3) Turn the switch to the right (indication for hot chocolate) and open the device.

    4) The water will start to mix, after a few seconds, when it reaches maximum speed, add the matcha powder.
Add 4 servings, or as much as desired (using the special wooden spoon for matcha), of ceremonial grade matcha (or even better, imperial grade if available).

    5) Wait a few minutes. The device will stop when it reaches the desired temperature.

    6) The device will make a sound when the perfect matcha is ready. Use a beautiful tea container and enjoy it. Now you are a connoisseur.

    Important notes for exceptional results:
You can tell if you have good matcha powder when the tea appears bright and frothy. The right matcha should not be bitter, it has an "umami" taste, like fresh vegetables.
I recommend importing it from Japan yourself if possible.

Note: This recipe is for matcha tea, not matcha latte :)
