The Etsu Double Yuzu Gin is distilled at the Akita distillery in Akita Prefecture, located on the island of Honshu, Japan. This prefecture is situated on the coast of the Sea of Japan and extends eastward across the island to the Ōu Mountains. Over a period of 7 days, the botanicals used from the Ōu Mountains to create this gin are macerated to ensure that all the flavor aromas are fully developed. These botanicals include Japanese Yuzu (as the name suggests), juniper, licorice root, angelica, coriander, and matcha. After the final distillation, sweet water from the mountains is added, giving a fresh taste. This gin has a strong citrus aroma, from lemon and yuzu.
