  • Flux in paste form. The manufacturer and Skroutz call it RMA (Rosin medium activated), but according to IPC J-STD-004 it is ROM0, Rosin - Organic - Medium activated - Halogen-free (0). In practice, this means it has more "bite" than quite a few fluxes, especially low-quality ones. According to the manufacturer, it is used for SMD soldering.

    The package DOES NOT include a nozzle. The paste is viscous, brown in color, and flows relatively easily from the syringe.
    It can work on surfaces made of: silver, zinc, cadmium, and tin-lead alloy (SnPb).

    During burning, the paste gives off smoke that resembles wax with alcohol, which in turn can get you high, so good ventilation is recommended during the session. In addition, it keeps SMDs in place, provided the airflow is not excessive. It does not require a large amount to work, since it spreads quickly and remains active for quite a long time.

    It is no clean, so there is no fear of short circuits or of it eating away the pads/traces of the board. It leaves brown sticky residue that comes off immediately with isopropyl alcohol if the user wants it to.
