Design and Materials: BMC's specialized engineers, using advanced software, produce BMC air filters. An F1 filter must be very lightweight, made from the best raw materials to improve performance. Braided alloys with epoxy coating are used to protect against gasoline fumes and oxidation due to air humidity. The filtering material consists of a special cotton gauze impregnated with low-viscosity oil for better air permeability.

Advanced Technology: BMC's technical staff has developed a production system based on soft rubber molding, which produces the familiar red BMC filters. They are made in a single piece with no welded joints, thus avoiding the risks of breakage. This system, called "Full Molding," comes from R&D in F1 and is important for the technical and quality characteristics of BMC air filters.
