Well, I have to be one of the first in Greece to have acquired this lens. I had pre-ordered it from a well-known store in the city center. I attached it to my Nikon z50. Clearly, it becomes a telephoto lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor, but I bought it because my next camera will be full-frame. And because I have the 16-80mm AF-S lens that covers a wide range and is also a fast lens, I wanted something special and something I could carry when I switch to full frame later. The price of €400 is excellent (when the equivalent Nikon z lens is twice the price). Personally, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The lens has premium build quality (except for the lens hood, which is of low quality but I rarely use it, so it's okay), it has incredible autofocus, and it is sharp even at 1.8. I also liked its bokeh (this is a bit subjective).
Also, for those who enjoy manual focus, the focus ring rotates very smoothly and is as firm as it needs to be to make focusing comfortable and precise. Obviously, this lens is the first non-Nikon Z lens that supports autofocus and does it very well. Especially for such a large aperture, the lens focuses very quickly and with great accuracy.
The equation states that at half the price, you get a lens that is slightly inferior to the equivalent Nikon lens. And when we say half the price, we mean almost €400 less. And when we say slightly inferior, we mean that only an experienced professional can see the difference. With the money saved, if I want, I can buy the 50mm AF-S with a 1.4 aperture. The use I will give it will be purely amateur. I am not a professional, although I believe it can also be used professionally, but others can judge that better. I believe that for an amateur who wants fantastic bokeh and more artistic photos (day and night), there is nothing better in the Z mount at this price. Note that it is slightly heavier than the equivalent Nikon lens. That's it!
Update: The lens comes with a micro-USB port to connect directly to the computer and install the latest firmware. Not all cables fit. I tried 4 until I found the compatible one. Of course, this is not a problem because it might need to be done maybe twice. After all, the lens comes with the latest firmware. I, for example, did not need to do it.
Λοιπόν, πρέπει να είμαι από τους πρώτους στην Ελλάδα που απέκτησαν αυτόν το φακό. Τον είχα προπαραγγήλει από γνωστό κατάστημα του κέντρου. Τον κούμπωσα σε Nikon z50. Σαφώς σε μια κάμερα με APS-C αισθητήρα γίνεται τηλεφακός αλλά τον αγόρασα γιατί η επόμενή μου κάμερα θα είναι full-frame. Και επειδή έχω τον 16-80mm AF-S που με καλύπτει σε μεγάλο εύρος και είναι και γρήγορος φακός, ήθελα κάτι ξεχωριστό και κάτι που θα μπορούσα να κουβαλήσω πηγαίνοντας σε full frame αργότερα. Η τιμή του στα 400€ είναι εξαιρετική (όταν ο αντίστοιχος Nikon z είναι σε διπλάσια τιμή). Προσωπικά έμεινα πολύ ικανοποιημένος με την αγορά μου. Ο φακός έχει premium ποιότητα κατασκευής (με εξαίρεση το lens hood που είναι πολύ χαμηλής ποιότητας αλλά σπάνια το χρησιμοποιώ οπότε ΟΚ) έχει απίστευτο auto focus, είναι οξύς ακόμα και στο 1.8. Και το bokeh του μου άρεσε (αυτό είναι λίγο υποκειμενικό)
Επίσης, για αυτούς που αρέσκονται στο manual focus, το focus ring περιστρέφεται πολύ ομαλά και είναι όσο σκληρό χρειάζεται να είναι ώστε να κάνει το focusing άνετο και ακριβές. Προφανώς ο φακός είναι ο πρώτος μη-Nikon Z που υποστηρίζει Auto Focus και το κάνει πολύ καλά. Ειδικά για το τόσο μεγάλο διάφραγμα, ο φακός κάνει focus πολύ γρήγορα και με μεγάλη ακρίβεια.
Η εξίσωση γράφει ότι στη μισή τιμή παίρνεις έναν φακό που είναι ελάχιστα κατώτερος του αντίστοιχου της Nikon. Και όταν λέμε μισή τιμή μιλάμε για σχεδόν 400€ κάτω. Και όταν λέμε ελάχιστα κατώτερος εννοούμε ότι μόνο ένας έμπειρος επαγγελματίας μπορεί να δει τη διαφορά. Με αυτά τα λεφτά που περισσεύουν αν θέλω αγοράζω τον 50άρη AF-S με το 1.4 διάφραγμα. Η χρήση που θα του κάνω είναι μόνο ερασιτεχνική. Δεν είμαι επαγγελματίας, αν και πιστεύω πως κάνει και για επαγγελματική χρήση, αλλά αυτό ας το κρίνουν άλλοι καλύτερα. Πιστεύω ότι για έναν ερασιτέχνη που θέλει φανταστικό bokeh, και πιο καλλιτεχνικές φωτογραφίες (μέρα και νύχτα) σε αυτά τα λεφτά δεν υπάρχει κάτι καλύτερο σε Z mount. Σημειώστε ότι είναι λίγο πιο βαρύς από τον αντίστοιχο της Nikon. Αυτά!
update: ο φακός έρχεται με micro-usb port για να συνδεθεί απευθείας στον υπολογιστή και να περαστεί το τελευταίο firmware. Δεν ταιριάζουν όλα τα καλώδια. Εγώ δοκίμασα 4 μέχρι να βρω με ποιο είναι συμβατός. Βέβαια αυτό δεν είναι πρόβλημα γιατί άντε να χρειαστεί να γίνει κανά 2 φορές. Άλλωστε ο φακός έρχεται με το τελευταίο firmware. Εγώ π.χ. δεν χρειάστηκε να κάνω.
