It works, but the features listed are incorrect. The manual states that the "Max Output Resolution can be 1920x1080@30Hz" just like all other similar USB sticks. Also, nowhere in the manual is the "Powertech PTH-047" mentioned.

ATTENTION!!! It is not suitable for connecting an external monitor to a computer BUT for turning any laptop into an external monitor via software that is NOT included. In short, it is a capture device that inputs the signal, e.g. from a DVD player via HDMI to a computer via USB.

Excellent tool and perfect price. You can project from any device with an HDMI output to your laptop very easily.

It does not transfer image from screen to computer and vice versa. It does something else that I don't even understand

Very good and noteworthy product. I needed it for a while to make my laptop a screen and it did its job very well.

Well guys, in a few words, I bought it with the intention of using my computer screen as a monitor for the PS5 and it works great under basic conditions.

We need to understand that the device accepts input up to 1080p under ideal conditions. So we need to lower the settings of the PS5 BEFORE connecting it to the PC.

1) You need to adjust the image of the PS5 to the lowest resolution, 720p.

2) Connect the HDMI to the device and that to the PC.

3) Open the application you want. The Windows Camera and VLC worked perfectly for me.

4) Play on a 15" screen at a low resolution.

If there is any delay in the display, lower the quality or play with the input FPS.

The first 2 to 3 times it transferred the image normally from one device to another, without any problems. But then the connection started to deteriorate, without anything external being damaged (e.g. the USB port). Luckily, it is cheap.

It is not for putting a screen, it does the opposite job. If you have a camera, for example, you can connect it and transfer photos directly to the computer. It CANNOT perform from the computer somewhere else

HDMI female - USB male. I wanted to connect my PS4 to my computer. It managed it perfectly!!! Now I can play PS4 on my computer!

It does what it promises and is easy to use. I tried it with two cameras, a Nikon D610 and a Sony RX100, and it works perfectly with OBS (go to source > video capture device). On Skype, it recognizes the camera as a USB camera or as an OBS virtual camera if you have OBS open and set to virtual camera mode. In conclusion, with just a few euros, you can turn a digital camera into a webcam for video calls or streaming.
