It records image and sound very clearly. It does its job perfectly and if you ever need material in case of doubts, it will definitely be there. Hopefully, though, it will never be needed and it will be the most wasted money I've ever spent, but unfortunately, we don't go out alone.
I installed it myself very easily, as well as the rear camera, and no cables are visible except from the mirror to the camera.
I connected it with a Ugreen Power Bank with LifePo4 batteries for Parking mode. However, in the summer I will avoid leaving it at the beach as much as possible. Regardless of the safety of these batteries, it's best not to push their endurance limits in high temperatures, because if they ignite, they can't be extinguished. Pay close attention to this!
Also, note that with the Power Bank it doesn't switch to Parking Mode, it just keeps recording as if the car is moving. Anything it detects will be recorded and saved in a separate folder as usual.
Definitely, because it's not included in the package, you will need an SD card. I used a 128GB U3 A2 from a well-known brand, because I don't want to experiment and worry about whether it recorded or not, and for 6 months now I haven't had to deal with this issue again. It records just fine.
For those who don't know how the camera works, it records in a loop and if it detects a loud noise or impact, it saves it in a separate folder so it doesn't get deleted. The sensitivity is very easily adjusted from the menu.
"Loop" means it records continuously while it's on, which helps you get footage from your trip, from landscapes and places you liked, and when it fills up, it deletes the oldest videos and records over them, thus making a cycle. The 128GB is enough.
