Vitex Steganol bituminous varnish forms a protective film that resists water, acid solutions and alkalis. It is used to waterproof and protect concrete and metal surfaces, such as roofs, basement walls, foundations, drainage pipes and tanks. It can also be used as a primer for bonding bituminous membranes.
Apply cold with a brush, paintbrush, roller or spray gun to a smooth, clean and dry surface. For priming, dilute by 20% with gasoline; for waterproofing protection, dilute by 10%. For a stronger protective film, apply a second coat once the first has dried thoroughly. The product is affected by petroleum products and must not be applied to expanded or extruded polystyrene.
