Description & Specifications

Arthur Schopenhauer is considered one of the greatest philosophers of our time. And this essay of his is a sharp, passionate, subversive, and at the same time wise piece of writing, written vividly.

The art of always having the right is self-described as a manual for the triumph of one opinion over any opponent. Schopenhauer defines it as contentious dialectics, and it is the art of arguing, and arguing in such a way that one adequately defends their positions, whether they are right or wrong.

Schopenhauer's true intention was to draw the readers' attention to the tricks used by opinion shapers, whether they are politicians, journalists, or advertisers. Pretending to teach sophistry (as he later described rhetoric), he actually taught how to recognize it and, by extension, how to deal with it.

This text remains, even two centuries after its writing, a valuable tool for uncovering false opinions.
