Personally, because the device only has one USB input, I placed a hub with additional ports. It solved my problem, although it added several extra cables to the 'collection'. Very good, I bought it to switch between my Razer mouse, keyboard, and mousepad (I have connected them to a hub and the hub to the device) between 2 computers with Windows 10 and it works perfectly. Also, if one of the 2 computers is turned off, it automatically detects the output.
