I rate the product as inadequate.
Its features are: 150W power, suitable for aquariums up to 300 liters, and non-adjustable temperature of 25 degrees +/- 1 degree.
Nice packaging, quality construction, at the familiar level of EHEIM. It is considerably shorter than the ThermoControl I had before.
I need 26 degrees in my aquarium, but I bought it as a temporary solution until the replacement of my old one, which is still under warranty and has broken. The one I had until now is the EHEIM ThermoControl E125, which is 125W / 200 liters, but more expensive. This would be the backup for a difficult time...
So, on paper, the ThermoPreset appears to be more powerful and with much larger volume margins.
I received it the day before yesterday around 4pm and installed it in my aquarium, which is 180 liters, with a water height of 46cm and had dropped to 20.5 degrees due to the malfunction of the previous one during the weekend. The thermometer I use is glass and at the bottom.
The device was installed according to the instructions in the manual. It has a red indicator light when heating, which turns off when it stops. Once the light goes off, the device has obviously reached its preset temperature. The theoretical temperature is 25 +/- 1...
After 40 hours, it maintains a steady temperature of 23 degrees when my house is at 20 degrees. In fact, I had to lower it to the bottom because when I had it in the middle, like I had the previous one, the temperature had stabilized at 22 degrees. So, I thought of lowering it as much as possible since hot water rises, and thus gained another degree.
I bought it as a cheaper option, but it had to do what it claims. My aquarium is only 60% of what it theoretically covers.
I don't understand how a device that is more powerful and for larger volumes doesn't do what it says when the 125W ThermoControl is sufficient. I didn't buy a large one, just the previous ThermoPreset model was smaller.
And the issue of price didn't impress me. I didn't consider it "cheap." It is cheaper because it is a simpler construction. It doesn't have moving parts, so it can be sealed more easily, and it also has simpler electronic components.
The only explanation for me is that it doesn't have good electronic components. And here lies the main issue. With adjustable ones, even if they don't measure correctly, you can always choose a different temperature and "adjust" it to your needs. The non-adjustable one must be accurate because your hands are tied.
I have requested a return and will buy a second one like the previous one.

Τα χαρακτηριστικά του είναι : ισχύς 150W, ενυδρεία έως 300 λίτρα και μη επιλέξιμη θερμοκρασία 25 βαθμών +/- 1 βαθμό.
Ωραία συσκευασία, ποιοτική κατασκευή, στο γνωστό επίπεδο της EHEIM. Αρκετά πιο κοντό από το ThermoControl που είχα.
Χρειάζομαι 26 βαθμούς στο ενυδρείο μου αλλά το αγόρασα σα μια λύση ανάγκης, μέχρι να μου έρθει η αντικατάσταση του παλιού που είναι μέσα στην εγγύηση και χάλασε. Το μέχρι τώρα είναι EHEIM ThermoControl E125, δηλαδή 125W / 200 λίτρα, αλλά ακριβότερο. Αυτό θα ήταν το backup, για μια δύσκολη ώρα...
Το ThermoPreset στα χαρτιά λοιπόν δείχνει ισχυρότερο και με πολύ μεγαλύτερα περιθώρια όγκου.
Το παρέλαβα προχθές γύρω στις 4μμ και το εγκατέστησα στο ενυδρείο μου, το οποίο είναι 180lt, με ύψος νερού 46εκ και είχε φτάσει στους 20.5 βαθμούς λόγω της βλάβης του προηγούμενου μέσα στο ΣΚ. Το θερμόμετρο που χρησιμοποιώ είναι γυάλινο και στον πυθμένα.
Η συσκευή εγκαταστάθηκε σύμφωνα με τις οδηγίες του εγχειριδίου. Έχει κόκκινη ενδεικτική λυχνία όταν θερμαίνει που σβήνει όταν σταματάει. Εφόσον η λυχνία σβήσει, η συσκευή προφανώς έχει φτάσει στην προκαθορισμένη θερμοκρασία της. Η οποία θεωρητικά είναι 25 +/-1......
40 ώρες μετά κρατάει μια σταθερή θερμοκρασία 23 βαθμούς όταν το σπίτι μου έχει 20 βαθμούς. Μάλιστα χρειάστηκε να το κατεβάσω μέχρι τον πυθμένα γιατί όταν το είχα στη μέση, όπως είχα το προηγούμενο, η θερμοκρασία είχε σταθεροποιηθεί στους 22 βαθμούς. Σκέφτηκα λοιπόν να το κατεβάσω όσο γίνεται κάτω, αφού το ζεστό νερό ανεβαίνει ψηλά, και έτσι κέρδισα έναν βαθμό ακόμα.
Το αγόρασα σα μια φθηνότερη επιλογή αλλά έπρεπε να κάνει αυτό που αναγράφει. Το ενυδρείο μου είναι μόνο το 60% από όσο θεωρητικά καλύπτει.
Δεν καταλαβαίνω πώς μια συσκευή ισχυρότερη και για μεγαλύτερους όγκους δεν κάνει αυτό που λέει όταν επαρκεί το ThermoControl των 125W. Δεν το αγόρασα μεγάλο, απλά το προηγούμενο μοντέλο ThermoPreset ήταν μικρό.
Και το θέμα της τιμής δεν μου έκανε εντύπωση. Δεν το θεώρησα "φτηνό". Είναι φθηνότερο γιατί είναι απλούστερη κατασκευή. Δεν έχει κινούμενα μέρη, άρα στεγανοποιείται ευκολότερα, ενώ έχει και απλούστερα ηλεκτρονικά μέρη.
Η μόνη εξήγηση για μένα είναι ότι δεν έχει καλά ηλεκτρονικά μέρη. Εδώ είναι και το βασικό θέμα. Με τα ρυθμιζόμενα, ακόμα κι αν δεν μετράνε σωστά, μπορείς πάντα να επιλέξεις μια άλλη θερμοκρασία και να το "φέρεις" στα μέτρα σου. Το μη ρυθμιζόμενο οφείλει να είναι ακριβές γιατί τα χέρια σου είνμαι δεμένα.
Έχω ζητήσει επιστροφή και θα αγοράσω ένα δεύτερο σαν το προηγούμενο.
