The Hammar 20 Hydrostatic Release Mechanism is suitable for EPIRB. In the event of the vessel sinking, the Hammar H20 activates with the increase in water pressure and automatically releases the EPIRB. Instead of a release rope, a plastic bolt is used to secure the beacon, which is cut during the activation of the mechanism. It is made of fiberglass reinforced with nylon, preventing corrosion.
