Description

Cornelius is a happy dog. But one day, a cute, fluffy puppy appears out of nowhere, and everything suddenly changes!

As Cornelius tries to set rules and teach the little one how to be a good dog, he discovers that life is ultimately more beautiful when you share things and feelings.

In order to ensure that children have a healthy social life grounded in effective relationships, they must cultivate empathy, the ability to put themselves in others' shoes, to understand and feel things the same way another person experiences them.

This need is addressed by the books in this series, which promote emotional intelligence. With the proposed approach for parents and educators, they aim to guide children to see the world through others' eyes, after they first learn to recognize and manage their own emotions.

  • Cornelius is a dog who has a wonderful time in the house he lives in... But one day, Paris appears, a cute little puppy. Cornelius feels greatly threatened by the little newcomer... Maybe now he will lose his leadership and the privileges he already has... That's why he gives Paris strict lessons about living together in the same house... However, as events unfold, he changes his mind.

Another wonderful book by Yolanda Tsoroni-Georgiadi! We have read three more, "The Two Tails," "The Gang on the Island," and "So What?" and each book wins over both me and my children.

In my opinion, it is an amazing book that will help mothers who are expecting their second child.

It is certain that the newborn baby will attract all the attention and cuddles. As it grows, it will play with all the first child's toys, which the first child will not like and will react accordingly. There may also be dissatisfaction and comments from the parents. In such periods, feelings like jealousy, selfishness, anger, and hostility exist in every home...

With the help of this book, parents prepare the first child for the arrival of the second. This way, the child will understand that the younger sibling did not come to take their place. It is a new friend, who will learn from them, play, and have a good time together... Not an enemy or an invader.

In the same way, it helped me, as I have lively twin boys who are constantly competing, even over simple everyday things.

"Life is more beautiful when you have company" is the phrase I kept from this book...

And of course, this applies to both young and old. You have to make room for others around you... Break the strict rules you set for them and be open to new situations. Also, share material things, but also feelings, and always show the good side of yourself.

The fact that the two heroes of the book are puppies, beloved animals of most children, as well as the playful sketches, help keep their attention during the reading of the book.

Also, with the help of Cornelius and Paris, little ones learn that animals, just like people, have similar feelings and needs!

The short but meaningful texts and the large font size are two more positive elements of the book... It is exactly in the same style as the rest of the series.

And a very sweet cover with little Paris looking at Cornelius with adoration. Cornelius, on the other hand, is looking at us... Should he feel joy or fear?

I wonder, which role do your children take? Cornelius or Paris? I started thinking about my own children...

Another book by Yolanda Tsoroni that we added to our library! I got this one mainly to teach my child how to accept the new member in our family! We really liked it! Just like everything else we have bought from the same author!
