The metallic ACCU-ND coating prevents color shift, making it easy to change filters without distorting color balance. PROND filters utilize Hoya optical glass with an ACCU-ND metal coating to create the neutral density effect.
Neutral filters are designed to reduce the amount of light entering the camera lens without causing other effects on the image. The light reduction allows for the use of larger apertures or slower shutter speeds for creative and dramatic effects in bright lighting conditions. The PROND16 provides 4 stops of light reduction, equivalent to 1.2 ND optical density.
