Size

The only complaint I had and the reason I returned it with a heavy heart was the incredible IP glow it had in all corners, especially in the bottom right. Such a shame, really, because it was quite good in all other aspects, especially the Freesync Premium, which had no issues like some other monitors, for example, flickering. I loved its smoothness, and even though it didn't have the pixel response of my previous monitor (Asus VX238H), the difference was so small that it didn't really matter (the overdrive was set to Fast out of the box).

I am including some images where you can see the difference between the monitors, and to be 100% clear, I mention the following: don't be deceived by the fact that you see the difference in a Linux operating system. The difference is exactly the same in Windows and in the BIOS screen. I just didn't want to show what I have on my Windows desktop, so I used Linux. So it's not a matter of incorrect color profile or calibration, and I clarify this to preempt some people who might jump in and mistakenly invalidate my opinion.

I suppose I probably happened to get a bad batch, rather than a bad model in general. So, because I want to be as objective as possible, for this reason, I give it 4/5 stars, because, as I said, the monitor was quite good overall, especially for the price I bought it two weeks ago (147 euros).

Coming from a 75hz monitor, I immediately noticed the higher refresh rate and I can say it helps with games.

If someone wants it for gaming, it's definitely worth it, but for image editing and movies, you can definitely find something better, you'll just sacrifice the 144hz if you mainly care about the image.

I also want to emphasize that in the display settings, do not set the response time to Faster because it significantly degrades the image. It's better to leave it on Fast

The screen alone is worth it, but I probably fell into a case and in the first month of my purchase it showed parallel lines on the bottom part of the screen out of nowhere. I could still use it, but it was tiring because of the lines. I asked for a replacement or repair since it was under warranty and I easily managed to contact LG to come and pick it up. They came and took it on Wednesday and until the next week, there was not a single update. We called and they told us that it has been sent ready for replacement and nothing else. Several days passed and finally they inform us about something because every other time they didn't know anything and they tell us that if we want, we can take a worse and cheaper model than the one I paid for and end the whole issue or wait another 10+ days (it has been 2 and a half weeks since they took it). After a long dialogue, they tell me that they will return the damaged screen to me (you can still work with it) until the new one arrives and then replace it. Generally, I would say that LG's customer service was one of the worst. The screen alone is worth it, but if there is any problem and you need repair/replacement, you will have a lot of difficulty.

The only complaint I had and the reason I returned it with a heavy heart was the incredible IP glow it had in all corners, especially in the bottom right. Such a shame, really, because it was quite good in all other aspects, especially the Freesync Premium, which had no issues like some other monitors, for example, flickering. I loved its smoothness, and even though it didn't have the pixel response of my previous monitor (Asus VX238H), the difference was so small that it didn't really matter (the overdrive was set to Fast out of the box).

I am including some images where you can see the difference between the monitors, and to be 100% clear, I mention the following: don't be deceived by the fact that you see the difference in a Linux operating system. The difference is exactly the same in Windows and in the BIOS screen. I just didn't want to show what I have on my Windows desktop, so I used Linux. So it's not a matter of incorrect color profile or calibration, and I clarify this to preempt some people who might jump in and mistakenly invalidate my opinion.

I suppose I probably happened to get a bad batch, rather than a bad model in general. So, because I want to be as objective as possible, for this reason, I give it 4/5 stars, because, as I said, the monitor was quite good overall, especially for the price I bought it two weeks ago (147 euros).
