To achieve this rich collaboration, the traditional Arran Single Malt matures in oak barrels for eight years and then is "finished" in a selection of Sauternes wine barrels. These sweet white wine barrels from Bordeaux are specially chosen to ensure that the notes from both the wine and the whisky create the perfect marriage.
Taste: Sweet with warm spices, lemon peels, and a hint of saltiness.
Palate: Particularly impressive with rich tropical notes, banana, and spices which balance the aroma.
Finish: Crispy finish, aromas of oranges, honey, and Sauternes.
