It cuts out a lot of sound. I took my son (10 years old) to a concert with very high volume and he enjoyed it without any problem for his ears. The difference with and without the earplugs is huge.

They fully cover the little one's ears. We got them for a 2-year-old child and they fit perfectly. They fold and are stored in a fabric case that is included. On the downside, the price is a bit steep.
