Heller gains mutated powers and embarks on a mission of revenge against Alex Mercer, the protagonist of the first Prototype, whom he holds responsible for the destruction. As he explores New York Zero, Heller acquires new abilities such as Tendrils, Claws, Hammerfists, and Biomass absorption, allowing him to transform, destroy, and consume enemies to gain their memories and powers.
