The Doulton Hip Duo dual filtration system is installed under the counter and connected to a separate faucet. It includes a Nitrate Reduction filter to reduce nitrates and a Doulton Ultracarb filter, with a nominal filtration rating of 0.5 μm and an absolute rating of 0.9 μm.

The Ultracarb filter is made from ceramic with activated carbon and a heavy metal reduction resin. It reduces or removes bacteria, cysts, lead, turbidity and free chlorine, while helping improve the taste and odour of the water. The flow rate reaches up to 300 litres/hour at a pressure of 3 bar.
