I have had the TV for 4 months. Generally, it is a good TV. I won't go into technical details because I don't know them. It has good picture quality and very powerful sound. Nice menu, poor viewing angle, meaning you can't see well from the right or left. And now let's get to the worst part. UPDATE: In the past 7 months, a panel issue (bright white spots) appeared and the television was replaced by LG with the same model. However, the new television also developed a panel issue (vertical black lines) after approximately 7 months and the panel was replaced under warranty. The service from LG was excellent (prompt response, pick-up from the location, replacement television of a slightly smaller size), but the quality of the panel for their midrange Nanocell models, based on my experience, is questionable. I deduct one star from the rating for this reason.
This review is for the 55" IPS model UHD Nanocell 816pa. I clarify this because I see unrelated reviews for the 50" model, which is not IPS. For its price, it is a decent proposition with very good colors, excellent viewing angles like all IPS panels, support for HDR10 PRO, Game mode, ALLM, eARC, HGiG. It has the latest version of the excellent WebOS with a refreshed 'gaming' menu and the very good LG magic remote. The downside, like all IPS panels, is the black performance, which appears 'washed out' at best. The local dimming also does not help as the panel has peripheral backlighting (edge lit), which probably makes it worse. Anyone looking for perfect blacks will have to dig deep into their pockets for an OLED, which, in turn, has other issues such as degradation and ghosting. Those looking for a budget solution with slightly better colors than other IPS panels will be satisfied, I believe.

The sound with all possible settings is so low that you can't understand many speeches. The picture in every setting doesn't have the necessary brightness and clarity. I have a Samsung from 2005 and it is more pleasant in picture and the sound has no relation to clarity. I wish I could throw it away and get another one. Stay away!!!

Μετα απο χρήση 2 εβδομάδων έχω να πω ότι σε γενικές γραμμές είμαι πολύ ευχαρισμένος.
Εχει πολύ καλή εικόνα και ηχο και δουλεύουν άψογα οι εφαρμογές όπως Netflix, Αpple Tv, Prime video, Ant1 plus....το τηλεχειριστήριο πραγματικά μαγικό.

Πήρα την 50 ιντσών, και μπορώ να πω ότι είναι τέλειο, τα χρώματα,ο ήχος, το χειριστήριο, από όποια γωνία και αν την δεις μπορείς άνετα να βλέπεις,και είναι πολύ εύκολη στη χρήση του,το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα....
I have had the TV for 4 months. Generally, it is a good TV. I won't go into technical details because I don't know them. It has good picture quality and very powerful sound. Nice menu, poor viewing angle, meaning you can't see well from the right or left. And now let's get to the worst part. After a few minutes of turning it on, it occasionally makes a clicking noise that disturbs you. It's like the TV is contracting or expanding and the panel makes noise. I can't explain it any better. Maybe I got a defective one, I didn't return it to check and tell me what's wrong because I believe they will tell me everything is fine as long as the TV is functioning. It's just annoying to hear that noise every now and then.
την έχω 4 μήνες την τηλεοραση. Γενικά είναι μια καλή τηλεόραση. Δεν θα μπω σε τεχνικές λεπτομέρειες γιατί δεν τις ξέρω. Έχει καλή εικόνα, πολύ δυνατό ήχο. Ωραίο μενού, κακή γωνία θέασης, δηλαδή από δεξιά ή αριστερά δεν βλέπεις καλά. Και τώρα πάμε στα χειρότερα. Μετά από λίγα λεπτά αφού την ανοίξω κάθε τόσο κάνει κάτι τσκ τσκ και σε ταράζει. Λες και συστέλλεται ή διαστέλλεται η τηλεόραση και κάνει θόρυβο το panel. Δεν μπορώ να το εξηγήσω καλύτερα. Μπορεί να μου έτυχε η ελαττωματικη, δεν την γύρισα πίσω να την ελέγξω και να μου πούνε τι φταίει γιατί πιστεύω ότι θα μου πούνε ότι όλα είναι καλά εφ,όσον η τηλεόραση λειτουργεί. Απλά είναι σπαστικό να τον ακούς αυτον τον θόρυβο κάθε λίγο και λιγάκι.
UPDATE: In the past 7 months, a panel issue (bright white spots) appeared and the television was replaced by LG with the same model. However, the new television also developed a panel issue (vertical black lines) after approximately 7 months and the panel was replaced under warranty. The service from LG was excellent (prompt response, pick-up from the location, replacement television of a slightly smaller size), but the quality of the panel for their midrange Nanocell models, based on my experience, is questionable. I deduct one star from the rating for this reason.
This review is for the 55" IPS model UHD Nanocell 816pa. I clarify this because I see unrelated reviews for the 50" model, which is not IPS. For its price, it is a decent proposition with very good colors, excellent viewing angles like all IPS panels, support for HDR10 PRO, Game mode, ALLM, eARC, HGiG. It has the latest version of the excellent WebOS with a refreshed 'gaming' menu and the very good LG magic remote. The downside, like all IPS panels, is the black performance, which appears 'washed out' at best. The local dimming also does not help as the panel has peripheral backlighting (edge lit), which probably makes it worse. Anyone looking for perfect blacks will have to dig deep into their pockets for an OLED, which, in turn, has other issues such as degradation and ghosting. Those looking for a budget solution with slightly better colors than other IPS panels will be satisfied, I believe.
UPDATE: Στους 7 μήνες εμφανησε πρόβλημα panel (λευκα φωτεινα σημεια) και έγινε αντικατάσταση τηλκεόρασης απο την LG με ίδιο μοντέλο, η νεα τηλεόραση επίσης μετα απο 7 περίπου μηνες εμφάνησε και αυτη πρόβλημα panel (κάθετες μαύρες ρίγες) και εγινε αντικατάσταση panel εντος εγγύησης. Το service της LG εξαιρετικό (άμεση ανταπόκριση, παραλαβη απο τον χωρο, τηλεοραση αντικατάστασης εστω και μικροτερης διαστασης) αλλα η ποιότητα panel τον midrange μοντελων τους Nanocell βαση της εμπειρίας μου ειναι αμφίβολη. Αφαιρώ ενα αστερι απο την βαθμολογια για αυτο τον λογο.
Η κριτική ειναι για το 55" IPS μοντελο UHD nanocell 816pa. To διευκρίνιζω γιατι βλεπω ασχετες κριτικες για το 50αρι μοντελο που δεν ειναι IPS. Στα λεφτα του ειναι μια τιμια προταση με πολυ καλα χρωματα, πολυ καλες γωνίες θέασης οπως ολα τα IPS, υποστηριξη HDR10 PRO, Game mode, ALLM, eARC, HGiG. Dolby Dogital την τελευταία εκδοση του εξαιρετικου WebOS με ανανεωμένο 'gaming' menu και το πολυ καλο magic remote της lg.Το μειονέκτημα του οπως ολα τα IPS ειναι η αποδοση του μαυρου που δείχνει 'ξεπλυμενο' στην καλύτερη.. το local dimming επισης δεν βοηθαει καθως το panel εχει περιφερειακο φω τισμο (edge lit).. μαλλον τα κανει χειροτερα. Οποιος θελει τελεια μαυρα πρεπει να βαλει το χερι βαθεια στην τσεπη για OLED που με τη σειρα του εχει αλλα ζητηματα degradation ghosting κλπ.. Οποιος ψαχνει για μια budget λυση με ενα κλικ καλυτερα χρωματα απο αλλα ips θα μείνει ευχαριστημενος πιστευω.
