Carbon filters are used when range hoods operate without a duct connection and the air is recirculated into the room.

They are not washable and it is recommended to replace them every 4 months.

Their use reduces the efficiency of the range hood by about 30%.

They are used in most extractors. Metallic filters are easy to remove and clean, either in the dishwasher or by hand. They do not require frequent replacement.
