    Very sturdy base, made of aluminum. The one minus star is because at least on my phone, it seems that the fact that it is made of aluminum has some influence on the GPS. While the signal is correct, it constantly gets confused about which direction I am going. I should note that my phone doesn't have any similar issues when it is in the (plastic) base that I have in the car or anywhere else when I use Google Maps.

    One negative thing I found is that when you tighten the mount on the handlebars, the spring that holds the phone gets pressed and turns like crazy.
