I bought it because it said it covers many square meters; the house is 80 sq m, so it suited me perfectly and I hadn’t found anything comparable at that price. At first everything seemed fine, but the machine is extremely cumbersome to use. The pollen profile doesn’t work, there is no setting that activates the pollen function, the app itself is really slow and useless, I spoke with Hoover itself after my own complaints via email, even they don’t know what to answer, they tell me to restart and try again. There is no support. Well, when you activate the diffuser, the purifier thinks there is a danger due to particles and switches to maximum mode, like a 2000-watt vacuum cleaner, and it doesn’t stop unless you manually go and press sleep mode because the app is really a difficult case. It does the same if you use the humidifier; if you want 50% humidity in the room and turn on the humidifier, it starts turbo because it thinks there are particles, with the result that it sucks up all the moisture around it. Sometimes it starts turbo on its own for no reason. Now, the worst of all is that while the humidifier was working, the purifier was pulling in the moisture that was being dispersed, and after a week of use it started to smell strange. And the strange thing was that the filter developed mold. Because it was essentially drawing in the water, since the humidifier sprays mist in a way, the filter got moldy. And now we come to maintenance. Of course, the company that sold the product bears no responsibility, nor does Hoover itself, as they replied to me, since it is due to use and not a manufacturing defect. And what is needed now? A new filter, €89, yes, you heard right, that’s how much the filter costs, and internal cleaning by a specialized technician who will open the purifier, since its fins have supposedly absorbed the smell and mold spores. In other words, the purifier cost €110, that’s how much I paid for it, and its filter costs €89. And as if that weren’t enough, the liquids they had given me for the diffuser had expired a year and a half ago. Since the model was manufactured in 2020 and now it is summer 2026. As a consumer, I have no protection from anywhere, neither from the consumer protection authority nor from any other oversight body for companies that sell such products. I am crying over the €115 that went down the drain, and also over the fact that in this country they give you products that are either expired or past their date as if they were new and fresh. Shame on all of you, from first to last.
