The B+W Basic filter is a circular polarizing CPL filter made from Schott optical glass. Its MRC coating includes 14 anti-reflective layers and 2 protective layers. The filter is resistant to moisture, dust, dirt and scratches. It reduces exposure by approximately 3 stops.
The brass frame rotates and has a matte black finish. It features a front thread for additional filters or accessories and can be used without vignetting with lenses of 28 mm focal length or longer, or 35 mm or longer on full-frame cameras.
