It makes quite a bit of noise and the aesthetics definitely go out the window. However, it made a big difference in the ventilation of the bathroom (a common duct for all the apartments).

The centrifugal fan is the solution when there is a duct or other resistance at the air outlet (e.g. grilles on the exterior wall).

Manrose publishes technical specifications for the centrifugal CF100 which shows that it continues to "pull" when the pressure increases:
    https://www.manrose.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/doc/cataloguepage/centrifugalfanrange.pdf

The graph of the "simple" XF100, on the other hand, shows that its performance drops quickly when there are obstacles (static pressure) in the flow:
    https://www.manrose.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/doc/cataloguepage/100mmfanrange.pdf

From the mere fact that one can see the above information, 5+ stars.

The noise is the same as the other two ("good") ones I had and not excessive at all.

The bathroom ventilation is a painful story.
I have changed many fans in the 100mm size and this one is truly the best. Of course, the fact that it is centrifugal plays a big role in this. It absorbs very well and also has a flap for external odors, external air, etc.
If you don't mind that it's not completely silent and the slightly larger size (since it's centrifugal), it's worth getting it.
