Description

An original STEM book that introduces kids to the concept of time and teaches them how to tell time on digital and analog clocks. Four small space travelers are excited to eat pizza. But… what time is it? Join the little astronauts and their Martian friend on their intergalactic adventure and discover what hours, minutes, and seconds are.

Learn the differences between digital and analog clocks and, of course, find out how long it takes to eat a delicious, mouth-watering pizza in space! Veteran non-fiction children's book author David Adler incorporates mathematical concepts such as addition and subtraction into this fun narrative. A useful tool for understanding the concept of time and hour, it includes a glossary explaining time zones, daylight savings time, and more.

What they said about the book: “Miller’s fresh, colorful palette soars with the little astronauts, while Adler, as always, adapts the language and examples to the level of children… It’s time to add this to your collection.” –Kirkus Reviews

David A. Adler was born in 1947 in the USA. He graduated from Queens College in 1968 with a degree in Economics and received teaching licenses in Mathematics and History. He then worked as a Mathematics teacher in New York. While teaching, he studied at New York University and obtained an MBA in Marketing in 1971. In 1976, he began a PhD in Marketing, but then inspiration struck, and he wrote his first children's book. Since then, he has written over 300 books for children and young adults. In his book "What Time Is It?", he incorporates mathematical concepts, such as addition and subtraction, and helps young readers solve simple problems in a fun way.
