This new prime lens is the world's first 12mm Autofocus lens compatible with E-mount. It is the sole choice for APS-C users who want an ultra-wide-angle autofocus lens.     Purchase 19/3/22. Former owner of the sigma 16mm 1.4 which I consider to be one of the best lenses for APS-C bodies. Let's now move on to the samy. I had doubts about several things and took a risk buying it. In the end, not only did my doubts disappear, but I felt like I had attached a sigma lens (those who have the 16mm will understand what I mean). Sharpness, speed, colors, everything is wonderful. Excellent build quality, sturdy and lightweight (as much as it can be). On the gimbal with the a6400, it feels like shooting from a drone. Low light shots with f2 are very good. The focus ring, although electronic, gives you the feeling of a manual ring. Samyang did a great job and I believe that this lens will be "worn" by many photographers and videographers. Ideal wide-angle lens solution for a6*** bodies. Its price is the same as that of the sigma 16mm and it will be a dilemma for many to choose between them. It depends on how much one needs the 16mm f 1.4 of one or the 12mm f2 of the other.
