Their focal distance is usually 24-35mm for full-frame, 15-25mm for crop frame, and 50-70mm for medium format. They are commonly used in street photography but also in indoor spaces where there is limited distance from the subject. The perspective of wide-angle lenses makes things appear farther apart than they actually are.

Also useful for nice close-up shots (19cm). The only downside may be its somewhat plastic construction, but it is justified due to its minimal weight. Conclusion: a very reliable lens for the approximately 500 euros it asks you to pay.
