With a triple LED illumination system, the Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Plus biological microscope allows you to observe transparent, opaque, and translucent specimens. The light sources are located above and below the stage, have adjustable brightness, and can be used simultaneously. Magnification reaches up to 1280x with the 2x Barlow lens.

The optics are made of glass with multiple anti-reflective coatings. The 40x objective features a spring-loaded mechanism that retracts if it touches the specimen, protecting the optics. The monocular head is inclined at 45° and rotates 360°. The microscope can be powered by an AC adapter or AA batteries, and comes with an experiment kit and a plastic carrying and storage case.
