I give it three stars because the fault may be mine. I installed it on a window with old glass that was initially supported by small nails (wooden windows) and then a window stopper was placed. The instructions say that it will take a week for the stopper to tighten completely. In my case, with temperatures at 30 to 32 degrees, it took 10 days and the stopper had not tightened. I had to remove it from 3 windows... and use foam stoppers that did the job quickly and perfectly.
However, I repeat, it may not be the product's fault but mine.

Description & Specifications

Mercola Glazing Putty is a traditional glazing putty in a ready-to-use paste, made from a blend of three different oils. It is used to install glass in traditional wooden and metal frames and is waterproof once dry. It spreads easily, does not crack or stick to tools, and can be painted.

Application surfaces must be dry and free of dust, grease, and old putty residue. Knead the putty with your fingers and apply it to the frame, filling the gap between the glass and the frame; use a metal putty knife for the final finish. Wooden and metal frames must be primed before application.
