Mercola Isomix Beton Primer is a quartz-based bonding primer made with acrylic resins and graded quartz sand. It is applied to smooth, low-absorbency surfaces such as exposed concrete, cement boards, and EPS and XPS polystyrene boards, as well as before applying plaster or acrylic skim coat. It can also be used as a primer before bonding new ceramic tiles over existing tiles; a suitability test is recommended first.
The primer strengthens the substrate and acts as a bonding bridge for plasters and other mortars. It is ready to use, dries quickly, and does not cause yellowing. The surface must be dry and free of dust, oils, and loose material. Stir the product thoroughly before application.
