Mercola Yacht Varnish is a glossy, single-component alkyd polyurethane varnish, thinned with solvent and designed for interior and exterior wood surfaces, as well as marine applications. UV filters help protect against sunlight, while the finish resists impacts, peeling, and the expansion and contraction of wood. Its formula combines hardness and flexibility and can also be used on wooden floors.
Suitable for doors, windows, frames, ceilings, wood panelling, and railings. Coverage is 6–10 m² per litre per coat. New surfaces require 2–3 coats. Before application, wooden surfaces must be dry and free of oil and dust, with a moisture content of 12–14%. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray gun. Clean tools with white spirit or nitro thinner. Initial drying time is 45–60 minutes, and full drying takes 24 hours.
