It actually works, it's not just a blue LED. It is indeed UV!
I tested it with microbiological sampling plates (contact plates). I took samples from my keyboard, on 2 plates, in the same way.
One plate was placed in the UV box for the standard 5-minute cycle program.
While the first plate that hadn't been put in the box showed several colonies of yeast and bacteria, the second plate was completely clean!
Which means that the sterilization worked (colonies are those small white round circles on the plate, not the blurry one in the center, that's moisture).
Of course, in a more contaminated sample, like from the sole of a shoe, it doesn't kill everything, there is a lot of dirt and fungi that are more resistant to UV, but even there a difference was noticeable.
So, it works fine, the device does the job and it's also cheap, not even 10 euros.
